Gov.  Larry Hogan is urging the upcoming special session of the General Assembly to pass tougher crime and punishment laws, in light of highly publicized killings in Baltimore City last week.

“It’s just tragic,”  Hogan told C4 and Bryan Nehman on Tuesday, following Baltimore City reaching its 300th homicide for the year: A 5-year-old girl and two church-related murders as well.

“These aren’t just stories and statistics, these are lives snuffed out,” Hogan said to the talk show hosts. “People of Baltimore hurting. They’re searching for action. They want answers. “
