Baltimore, MD - June 11, 2021 - Blue bags.

That's what many in the Baltimore community call them.

When in desperate need for a bag to wrap a soiled diaper, hold garbage in a car, protect black hats around the Baltimore community on rainy days, or hold  heels while walking home from Shul on Shabbos. Customers of 7-Mile Market have many uses for those useful and memorable blue bags. But it looks like those blue bags will be put on display at the National History Museum, although the Glazers might still call them by the catchy name, "blue-bags".

When Moshe Glazer, a 2nd grader at Torah Institute saw 7-Mile's new bags for the first time, the first thing he said was, "Now what will we call the bags? They're not blue anymore! But they're cool!" His mother relayed, "If Moshe says they're cool, they must be cool." Another frequent customer of the largest kosher supermarket in the USA said the following about the bags: "The first thing I noticed after the color was the quality. I was bringing my groceries upstairs and the bags didn't stretch and rip!" "Those other bags stretched and dug into my wrists when I took them in from the car, these are much more durable and comfortable to hold." Another customer revealed the following life-hack: " These would actually be perfect as wastebasket liners!"

The color has changed and the quality as well, for the better. Not only do they hold more groceries at a time, but they are so much more durable. One of the employees at the check-out counter was asked about the bags. "These bags are great," he said. "We will never have to waste time double bagging again. " As the saying goes, the blue bags will be going "in the bag" to make room for the better quality ones to serve the Baltimore community for years to come.
