The Biden administration is expected to keep FBI Director Christopher Wray as head of the agency, online publication Politico reported on Thursday. 

Citing an unnamed source, the online magazine said that US President Joe Biden has no plans on changing the bureau's leadership and was satisfied with Wray's job performance. 

Questions over Wray's job security surfaced on Wednesday when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said she hadn't spoken to the president about the issue when asked during a press briefing. 

She later clarified the issue in a tweet, stating: "I caused an unintentional ripple yesterday so wanted to state very clearly President Biden intends to keep FBI Director Wray on in his role and he has confidence in the job he is doing." Read more at i24
