Test positive ratio remains below 3% mark, number of patients in serious condition decreases

Israel’s coronavirus cases dropped once more below the 1,000 mark on Thursday, as the downward trend of morbidity continued, new data released by the Health Ministry Friday morning showed.

Recording 895 infections in 24 hours, of the 33,788 screening tests conducted, the test positive ratio hit 2.8 percent -- another low figure in sharp contrast to figures just two weeks ago.

Active cases of coronavirus plummeted further, with 17,182 cases registered by the ministry, among them 575 COVID-19 patients in serious condition -- including 227 on artificial lung ventilators -- 151 individuals in moderate condition and the rest either having mild symptoms or no symptoms.
