Some of Netanyahu's critics on social media went as far as accusing the premier of a digital 'false flag'

Facebook officials said Thursday that a death threat made against Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was issued from a inauthentic profile, leading the premier's critics to accuse him of knowingly promoting fake death threats to garner sympathy.  

The embattled Netanyahu on Wednesday tweeted a screenshot of a Facebook post, where an account registered under a woman named Dana Ron threatened to "put a bullet in his head." Read more at i24
