A MAN who was planning to blow up the White House tomorrow has been arrested after trying to buy explosives from undercover FBI agents.

The suspected attacker had a "hand-drawn diagram of the ground floor of the West Wing", according to court documents.

He had planned to strap explosives onto a backpack and approach the White House "from the back road” before causing a distraction for police so he could break into the White House.

He was also plotting to attack the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial.

The suspect, who is understood to be from Georgia, was arrested today after meeting an FBI undercover agent in a car park.
