Roughly 3,000 Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli security forces at 30 locations in the West Bank, the Gaza Border Fence and Jerusalem on Friday. One Palestinian was reportedly killed at the Gaza Border Fence, and around 200 protesters were wounded – mostly lightly.

At hot-spots in the West Bank, demonstrators threw Molotov cocktails, rocks, bottles at Israeli Security Forces. Protesters also set fire to tires to be used as a smoke screen as well as rolling them towards Israeli Security Force who responded with rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades. In some instances, live fire was used.

According to the Red Crescent 254 Palestinians were injured. Most suffered from tear gas inhalation. Another 52 Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and 11 by live bullets.

Hamas had called for a “Day of Rage” and a “New Intafada” following the US President Trump’s declaration recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

There were dozens of Israeli vehicles that were struck by rocks in the past two days as well.
