I forgot my bag at a bus station in Haifa and I had inside 120,000 shekels in cash inside. I only realised it was missing after about 15 minutes after I left the bus ststion.

I went back to the station not expecting to find it but found a young man sitting there holding my bag.

I approached him and told him that it was my bag. He said that he had found it there and he asked me for signs that it was mine. I promptly gave him many indications and signs and he handed it over to me.

I sat down next to him and asked him about his side of the story.

He said that he came to the bus stop and noticed the bag laying there. He opened it to see if there was any identification inside. He then noticed a large amount of money inside and decided to wait for the owner to turn up. He gave it 15 minutes and waited but no one came. He decided to wait a bit longer as it was a large amount of money. He said that he started to say Tehillim to help the situation and suddenly I appeared.

He told me that he was from Jerusalem and had missed his bus in the process of waiting there.

I am no lover of Charedim, but from this incident I have learnt there is nothing like them. I offered him some money as a reward, but he refused. He said one does not get paid to do mitzvot.

I counted the money later and every note was still there.

Before leaving I asked him if I could take his picture and so you see it here.

(The story as told by the person that lost the bag),

What a Kiddush Hashem.
