Last summer some water main repair work was done in Northwest Baltimore. However, the subcontractor who was supposed to do the pavement repairs to the roadways never completed the task, according to City Public Works officials.
So, for months, residents have had to drive over some rough terrain, including ditches to get around the Glen community.
Jeffrey Raymond, with Baltimore City Public Works says that sub-contractor will be held accountable for the work not completed. Raymond said, "clearly the work was not done in time, we don't have an excuse for it we brought in another contractor to fix the work and we will be pursuing with the original contractor to make good on the work and expense frankly".
Another subcontractor has been hired now to do the repairs. The task may be completed by the end of this week according to Raymond.
