On Thursday Bill O’Reilly called for Debbie Wasserman Schultz to step down from her leadership position after she reprimanded Marco Rubio for his scheduled presidential fundraiser in Texas earlier this week, which featured artwork of Adolf Hitler and other historical figures.

“What is truly stunning is [Wasserman Schultz’s] ignorance,” O’Reilly remarked. “I have been to Harlan Crow’s home, and I have seen his collection of history. It’s amazing. Any museum would be proud to display what he has. Both good and evil are represented in an educational way.”

“Her take is truly insane. By attacking Rubio and using the Holocaust, the head of the DNC has shamed herself and her party. She should immediately resign,” O’Reilly said. Democrats aren’t the only ones “using despicable tactics,” O’Reilly clarified, but “they seem to embrace them at a very high level.”

Harlan Crow, the real estate investor’s home where the fundraiser was held, is decorated with many historical pieces from World War II, including artwork from Adolf Hitler, various dictators, and even is in possession of Hitler’s autobiographical manifesto “Mein Kampf.”

Upon the discovery of Hilter’s artwork, the DNC chairwoman was clearly outraged and offended, stating that it was insensitive and disrespectful of the GOP candidate to host his fundraising event at a venue that highlights the artwork of a man who murdered thousands of Jews during the Holocaust, especially during the Jewish high holidays.

“Holding an event in a house featuring the artwork and signed autobiography of a man who dedicated his life to extinguishing the Jewish people is the height of insensitivity and indifference,” Wasserman Schultz said in a statement released through the DNC.

“There’s really no excuse for such a gross act of disrespect. Mr. Rubio, who by the way, represents a sizable Jewish population in our home state of Florida, should cancel this tasteless fundraiser,” she added.

However, media outlets such as the Free Beacon, noted that Crow’s family was also at risk when the Nazis swept over Europe. In fact, his mother almost died but survived the sinking of the British SS Athenia from a German U-boat during WWII. Therefore showing that Crow was not a Nazi sympathizer, but instead, had done nothing more than amassed a collection of WWII artifacts that could be viewed as museum worthy.

Rubio also chimed in on the issue, reiterating that Crow is not a Nazi sympathizer and that Wasserman’s support for the nuclear Iran deal is more alarming than his Texas fundraiser. Although O’Reilly’s focus was the GOP, Wasserman is his first target for his mission to place pressure on politicians who engage in vicious political rhetoric during the election season.
