Baltimore, MD - Mar. 17, 2026 - The BOOST scholarship application for the 26-27 school year is now open and will remain open thru May 8th.
Please find the attached information sheet on the BOOST and 529 programs to share with your parent bodies.
REMEMBER: While the BOOST program is income limited, every household can benefit from 529.
Please encourage all families who are income eligible to apply for the program. Obviously, those households who have been awarded scholarships previously should apply, but even those who have applied in the past and were wait-listed or told that funds were unavailable, they too should apply. Last year, MANY families from the waiting list were awarded in round two.
As filing taxes on-time is necessary for BOOST, we have also attached a "file your taxes" flyer that can be included in your emails or sent home.
Regarding the special needs scholarship that is part of BOOST, MSDE will ask the schools to confirm or provide documentation. In most cases, a doctor's letter confirming an ADHD diagnosis is accepted.
As we offer on the info sheet, our office is standing by to provide assistance to any family with their BOOST application.
