Baltimore, MD – Aug. 26, 2025 – 1:46 PM – A deputy was injured late Tuesday morning in a serious incident on I-95 in Harford County that has closed all northbound and southbound lanes, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities confirmed a suspect is in custody, and the deputy was conscious and alert when transported to the hospital.

Maryland State Police and local authorities reported the shutdown stretches between Exit 85 (MD 22) and Exit 80 (Belcamp), as well as near Exit 89 to the Maryland House. Extensive police activity has closed I-95 between the Havre de Grace exit and the Maryland House rest area.

Southbound traffic from the Tydings Bridge is being diverted in Havre de Grace onto Maryland Route 155/Level Road, while northbound traffic is being diverted in Belcamp at the MD 543/Riverside Parkway exit. CHART cameras show traffic at a standstill approaching the scene.
