Baltimore, MD - Aug. 22, 2025 -  Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott weighed in on Maryland Gov. Wes Moore's invitation for President Donald Trump to visit the city on Friday, saying that officials need to see "commitments" from the President, whether or not he accepts the invite.

After calling out President Trump by name Thursday at a press conference before the demolition of Pimlico Race Course, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore invited the president to visit Baltimore to discuss "strategies for effective public safety policy."

At the press conference, Moore said, "I do want to be very clear: If you are not willing to be part of the solution, keep our name out of your mouth. Specifically, Donald Trump. If you are not willing to walk our communities, keep our name out of your mouth. If you are not willing to stand with our people, keep our name out of your mouth.”

Shortly after Thursday morning’s event, Moore, through an official letter and a post on X, invited Trump to attend a public safety walk through the city with himself, Mayor Scott and State’s Attorney Ivan Bates, all of whom are Democrats.... Read More: FOX45
