Baltimore, MD - July, 2025 - The Baltimore community is honored to welcome one of the premier poskim and Torah leaders of our generation, HaGaon HaRav Asher Weiss, shlit”a, for a special weekend of Torah and inspiration.

Rav Weiss is widely regarded as one of the foremost halachic authorities in the world today. He serves as the Av Beis Din of Darchei Torah, Rosh Kollel of Bais Medrash Darchei Torah, and the posek for Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem. A prolific author, Rav Weiss has published 37 volumes of sefarim, and his weekly shiurim are attended by thousands across the spectrum of Torah Jewry.

His reach spans from hesder yeshivos in Sderot to the most prestigious kollelim in Yerushalayim. Rav Weiss plays a central role in developing the next generation of Torah leadership through rabbinic and kiruv training programs, as well as initiatives that prepare young dayanim for the critical challenges of today’s halachic landscape.

In addition to his extensive teaching and publishing, Rav Weiss provides halachic guidance to Israel’s security and defense institutions, including the IDF, police, and Mossad, by advising their rabbinic leadership on complex and sensitive issues.

Beyond his public roles, Rav Weiss is known for his open-door policy. Through his daily office hours, he makes himself available to anyone in need of a psak, a word of encouragement, or simply a listening ear. His warmth, humility, and clarity have earned him a unique place in the hearts of Jews worldwide.

Shabbos Parshas Matos-Masei (July 25–27), the Baltimore community will have multiple opportunities to hear divrei Torah and gain inspiration from the Rav across several local shuls. The full weekend schedule includes visits to Kol Torah, Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion, Shomrei Emunah, Suburban Orthodox, and Sunday morning appearances at Mercaz Torah U’Tefillah and Derech Chaim.

This exceptional visit is being held to benefit Minchas Asher, the Rav’s foundation that supports Torah dissemination and halachic initiatives worldwide. For more information, visit www.minchasasher.com.
