Baltimore, MD – May 19, 2025:
Dear Baltimore Jewish Community,

Today, the 21st of Iyar, marks a very tragic date on our community’s calendar.
Exactly 4 years ago Efraim Gordon, z’l, H’yd, was brutally murdered in the heart of the Jewish community.
As most of you know, Efraim came from Israel for a wedding, a most joyous occasion, and his life was brutally taken.

Efraim was a gentle giant with the greatest heart someone can possibly imagine. He was humble and  every person he met was his friend.
Many community members joined our family in court for the last three years, while the state did a phenomenal job of catching all 4 culprits in the case and sentencing all of them to life in prison.

We are grateful to all those that showed our family their love and support by taking off from their precious time to be there at the courthouse.
We also celebrated the completion of Efraims Torah that was donated and celebrated by the Community.
Efraims soul lives on and his legacy is strong and proud in Baltimore.

We celebrate Efraim and his very short life on this day, while we hope to carry his legacy and memory for generations to come.
We kindly ask that you take a moment and say a Mishna or two in his memory.

And please do one extra Mitzva in memory of Efraim ben Baruch, Hashem Yikom Domo.

May we merit to a day when sadness and tears will be wiped off the face of the earth, with the Ultimate redemption, may it be speedily in our times.

With great appreciation and respect,
The Reyder family
The Marshall family
The Bisk family.
