Jerusalem, Israel - Aug. 29, 2024  - (JPost) The IDF revealed documents on Thursday evening that were found by troops operating in the Gaza Strip, which show that Hamas engaged in a widespread effort to falsify survey results conducted by the "PSR" institute. These documents, dated from March 2024, indicate that Hamas manipulated survey data to create a false impression of public support for the organization, particularly after the October 7th massacre. The falsifications aimed to bolster the image of Hamas leaders, especially Yahya Sinwar, and to falsely portray widespread support for their terrorist activities. The IDF clarified that there is no evidence of cooperation between the polling institute and Hamas; rather, Hamas used covert methods to deceitfully influence the survey results.
