Tel Aviv, Israel - Aug. 19, 2024  - (B'Chadrei Charedim) In Tel Aviv, a bomb exploded just ten meters away from the Rashbi Shul on Derech Lahi 97, where dozens of people learn daily. Rabbi Yehuda Meshulam, Gabbai, recounted how the explosion, which occurred at 8:00 PM during Mincha/Maariv, shattered the shul’s windows and filled the air with smoke and a burning smell. The explosion happened just as the terrorist reached the vicinity of the shul, but miraculously, B’Chasdei HaShem, no one inside was harmed. Only one passerby was injured.

Rabbi Meshulam emphasized the neis, noting that the shul is home to a large yeshiva that operates daily, particularly during bein hazmanim. The ruv of Bnei Brak, Rabbi Masoud ben Shimon, had recently remarked that this yeshiva protects all of Tel Aviv, and now many believe that limud haTorah in the shul played a role in averting a mass tragedy. In response to this neis, the shul plans to organize a large seudas hod’ah to express gratitude for the Divine Protection they received.
