A new Inspector General report confirmed that the City of Baltimore returned more than $10 million to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The $10.8 million returned to HUD stemmed from a combination of underspending and a lack of timely drawdowns, the statement said.

A complaint was initially filed in July 2023 alleging the return in grant funding.
