Miami, Florida – February 7th – Aish, a leading organization dedicated to spreading Jewish wisdom across the globe, held the Aish Legacy Summit at the Young Israel of Bal Harbour in Miami, Florida on February 5th and 6th, 2024. This exclusive event, which celebrated the organization's 50th year, brought together nearly 130 of the organization's top donors, providing them with a unique platform to engage with Aish leadership and network with fellow supporters.

The Aish Legacy Summit is a reflection of the organization's unwavering commitment to strengthening Jewish identity and fostering a sense of community, even in the face of the challenges posed by a rapidly changing world. By addressing pertinent topics and sharing insights, the summit aimed to empower attendees to further Aish's mission of spreading Jewish wisdom.

Key topics discussed during the summit included: Jewish identity in a post-October 7th world, and reflecting on achievements over the past 50 years and planning ahead for another 50.

In the wake of recent global events, the relationship between Israel and the Jewish Diaspora and the alarming rise of worldwide antisemitism have become pressing concerns. The summit offered a platform for open and constructive dialogue on these issues, and empowered attendees with the goal of finding innovative solutions and strategies to address them while exploring how Aish can help to tackle these challenges.

Aish's executive team including CEO Rabbi Steven Burg together with the COO Global Rabbi Elliot Mathias, CMO Jamie Geller, and Founder of Aish Israel Rabbi Eitiel Goldwicht, as well as other notable personalities, led discussions on the organization's remarkable accomplishments over the past five decades. Attendees received a newfound insight into the transformative work that has been done and the positive impact on Jewish communities worldwide that has resulted from the work. The focus was then switched to outline and discuss Aish's plans for the future and the role of the organization in ensuring Jewish continuity for the next 50 years.

Rabbi Burg spoke about the impetus and timing for the Legacy Summit. “Aish has been at the forefront of Jewish thought for the past 50 years. With the current paradigm shift in the way the world views and relates to Jews, and the rise of antisemitism across the globe, we saw the utmost urgency to prepare a plan for how to address the current needs of the Jewish people and reflect on strengthening the Israel-Diaspora relationship. In this time of adversity, we need to stay focused on our current unity. We are never stronger than when we put aside our differences and embrace one another.”

The Aish Legacy Summit featured prominent speakers from both Aish staff members as well as their donors and stakeholders. During the summit, the organization honored Mr. Leslie Dan for his continued support of the organization and its mission. Dan, the visionary philanthropic partner of Rabbi Noach Weinberg was presented with the Aish Legacy Award. His daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Dr. Stuart Hytman, have embraced Leslie’s passion and commitment to support Aish and its efforts to help strengthen the Jewish world.

"We are excited to have been able to bring together our most dedicated supporters for the Aish Legacy Summit in Miami," said Geller. "The Aish Legacy Summit provided a unique opportunity for our stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead, and to strengthen our commitment to spreading Jewish Wisdom to Jews around the world."
