Baltimore, MD – Oct. 28, 2023 -  Sunday night, 15 of Cheshvan, Oct 29, marks the 65th Yartzeit of the great Gaon and Tzadik Rav Michael Forshlager Zatza"l.

Rav Forshlager, Zatzal, was a tremendous Gaon who was had כל התורה כולה on his fingertips, and as Rav Aharon Kotler, Zatzal, said: “America has yet to see a Gadol like Harav Forshlager”.

His great רבי מובהק the holy Avnei Nezer of Sochechov, considered him one his closest talmidim despite his young age. His biography was printed in the sefer "Michoel Be'achas" and recently in the English book "The Hidden Giant of the Torah World".

Until recently his name was not so popular, but over the recent years, especially since the founding of the Chasidish Kehilla in Baltimore, his name started becoming famous, and his Divrei Torah that were printed in the last few years became very popular among talmidei chachamim around the world.

His Kever in the Bnei Israel cemetery at 3701 Southern Ave has become a place where hundreds of people from all over come to daven for yeshuos especially on the yahrzeit when the place is flooded with hundreds of yidden from Baltimore and from all across NY and NJ. In the past years there have been vans and buses that came even from Monsey/Monroe, and from even further.

Many people that daven at the kever have seen tremendous yeshuos in the zechus of the tzadik.

The chassidish mosdos Khal Chassidim is inviting the entire Baltimore Kehila to the yartzeit seudah that will place, iy’h, Sunday night (Oct 29) 15 of Cheshvan at 8:30 pm in the chasiddish shul Kedushas Yisrael, 6004 Park Heights Ave, where, as in previous years, a large crowd is expected. Divrei Torah and zikaron for the tzaddik will be heard from the Rav, Rav Amrom Jungreis, shlita, and from other local rabbanim. Firsthand stories of yeshuos at the kever will also be heard at the event. The seforim תורת מיכאל will be available at the event for a discounted price.

The cemetery will be open all night on Sunday and will be open throughout the day Sunday and Monday where a huge crowd is expected, iyH.

May Hashem help that we should see great yeshuos in the zechus of the tzaddik, especially in these difficult times when klal yisroel around the world and especially in Eretz Yisroel, need so much Rachmei Shamayim.

The older grades of the k’hal Chassidim cheder will also visit the Kever on the day of the Yartzeit to daven.
