Baltimore, MD – Sept. 10, 2023 - Over 30 talmidim of Rabbi Shlomo Horwitz gathered on Sunday to celebrate at a Yarchei Kallah, marking the remarkable journey of the daily Gemarah shiur that Rabbi Horwitz conducts on Mesechta Sanhedrin at Shomrei Emunah. The special event featured divrei chizuk and bracha from HaRav Beryl Weisbord, shlita, and a focused shiur on Tekiyas Shofar given by Rabbi Horwitz both of which may be seen in the videos below.

The shiur has a rich history, being a constant in the community for over 30 years, with Rabbi Horwitz holding the position of magid shiur for over 14 years. Every Monday to Friday, around 30 participants — predominantly retired individuals — gather physically and others join through Zoom, all united in their desire to delve deeper into the study of Gemara and Meforshim. The shiur is complemented with the warmth of freshly brewed coffee, providing a nourishing start to each day.

This initiative stands as a crown jewel at Shomrei Emunah, one of Baltimore's largest Orthodox shuls, seamlessly aligning with the vital principles emphasized by its Rav, Binyamin Marwick: Torah, Avodah, Gemilus Chasadim, and Achdus. Beyond the confines of the shul, Rabbi Horwitz shares his knowledge with a broader audience through regular appearances on Torah Anytime.
