Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday slammed a decision by Swedish authorities to authorize the burning of a Jewish Bible in a protest outside the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm.
"The State of Israel takes this embarrassing decision very seriously," Netanyahu said, adding that such a burning "harms the Jewish nation's 'holiest of holies.'"
"We must respect the holy books of every religion," he said.
Energy Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) commented: "Freedom of speech does not include burning religious books, of any religion. Under the guise of liberalism, they promote anti-Semitism and hatred of Jews. The responsibility for harm to Jews lies with the Swedish government."... Read More: Arutz-7
