Following the rocket barrage towards the Gaza periphery, a mother and her two children who suffered from emotional shock were treated by United Hatzalah's Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit.
United Hatzalah spokesperson Raphael Poch said: "Following the escalation in the South, United Hatzalah has raised its alert level in the region. Volunteers have been instructed to prepare for any eventuality and make sure that they have protective helmets and vests at the ready in case the need for them should arise."
United Hatzalah ambulance team in Sderot is transporting a man in his 70s to the hospital after he sustained a head contusion while running for shelter due to the alert sirens.
The man is in light condition.
The Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit is treating a mother and her two children for emotional shock due to the sirens in Sderot.
Likewise, United Hatzalah's dispatch center is fielding dozens of calls from residents of the Gaza periphery regarding the sirens and rocket barrage who are asking for assistance.
Volunteers are en route to two different locations after receiving reports of rocket impacts in the region.
