Jerusalem, Israel - Feb. 22, 2023 - The Jerusalem Conference celebrated its 20th year in Jerusalem, Israel at the Vert Hotel on February 20-21, 2023. The annual event hosted by the BeSheva Media Group has a tradition of awarding Jerusalem Prizes in multiple categories throughout its conference. 

On the second day of the conference, the publicized schedule changed, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not attend as advertised. 

President Isaac Herzog came as scheduled and after being interviewed one-on-one presented  Liora Minka with her award as leader of the women's international group Emunah. The President's mother was involved with Emunah Women, therefore, the presentation was meaningful for him as well as members of the audience who came to honor the long-serving CEO.

The event schedule is filled with panels on various topics such as the economy and education. Among the participants were Yafa Ben David, the director of the Teachers Union, and the Minister of Economy Nir Barkat.

Rav Yosef Zvi Rimon and his organization Sulamot received the Jerusalem Prize for Jewish Education. 

Also, Rav Shimshon Elbaum was also awarded a Jerusalem Prize for Jewish tradition on the second day for his years of activity on Har Habayit.

Interestingly, the audience's response was greatest for the appearance of Israeli's current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin, at the end of the day.
