A 20-year-old man was seriously injured on Sheshet Hayamim Street in Jerusalem on Saturday in a suspected terrorist attack.
A police officer identified the suspect, a 16-year-old Palestinian from Anata in east Jerusalem, chased him into a soccer field where dozens of children from the "Blue Sky" team were training in Sheikh Jerrah - very close to the national headquarters of the police.
The officer called on the suspect to stop while aiming his sidearm at him. The suspect reached a dead end, turned toward the officer, brandished a knife - and was shot. He was evacuated to hospital in critical condition.
Jerusalem District Police Chief, Doron Turjeman, arrived at the scene, questioned one of the eyewitnesses himself and later accompanied the policeman who shot the suspected terrorist during a reenactment of the event.... Read More: JPost
