Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 12, 2022 - Tens of thousands of people converged in Yerushalayim, in the Old City for the annual Birkat Kohanim on October 12, 2022, י''ז תשרי Chol Hamoed Sukkot.

Security was on alert, but mostly for crowd control with throngs of people coming and going from the Kotel. People were standing in groups on balconies for a good view.

Schach from various Sukkot could be seen on every possible porch and free spot. However, one prime location to view the crowds packed below for the Birkat Kohanim is from the AISH Hatorah building rooftop.

US Ambassador Tom Nides arrived on time for the Musaf Birkat Kohanim and received a framed photo of himself taken at the Kotel, presented by AISH CEO Rabbi Steven Burg.

Among the attendees on the rooftop was Yeshiva University President Rabbi Ari Berman.

BJL was able to speak with Mayberg and Taragin family members from Maryland, at the international gathering.

The weather was perfect, sunny but the temperature was not too hot, only in the midday sun. Very important, as for most people today, it was a real aliyah leregal, as they had to walk up to the Old City with most streets closed to traffic in the area.
