Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 20, 2022 - Hundreds of Israelis, dozens carrying large Israeli flags turned out on Wednesday evening, Chol Hamoed Pesach in Jerusalem, Israel. The crowd of protesters included family groups, of all ages, who arrived ignoring police and government requests against the rally.

Streets near the Old City were closed for the protest march. The light rail train was blocked at Tzahal Square for an extended period of time. The march from Safra Square ended at Tzahal Square, it was not allowed to proceed to Damascus Gate. Hundreds of the marchers proceeded to Jaffa Gate and into the Old City, it was time for mincha.

Israeli Security lined barriers used to block the smaller agitating group at Tzahal Square. There were shouts heard against the government, and against the Arab media present, especially Al Jazeera, and also a few chanted "Death to Terrorists." Two border policemen on horses arrived and stood on the side watching the crowd.

As the cannon shot was heard to signify the end of the day's Ramadan fast, MK Itamar Ben Gvir arrived. He was not allowed to go to Damascus Gate but set up a table and sign at Tzahal Square to the delight of his young admirers and against government warnings. Meanwhile, it was a very cool night and thousands of people, many tourists from overseas, were strolling on Jaffa Road where a number of restaurants were open for Chol Moed Pesach.
