Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with the head of US Central Command, Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr., today (Thursday, 3 March 2022).

Prime Minister Bennett and Gen. McKenzie discussed the common security challenges facing Israel and the US, especially Iran's aggression in the region. The Prime Minister emphasized the tangible danger in the major powers' signing the nuclear agreement, if and when that occurs.

Prime Minister Bennett thanked Gen. McKenzie for his contribution to strengthening security and stability in the region and for the significant cooperation between the State of Israel and the US during his tenure.

IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi, National Security Adviser and Director of the National Security Council Dr. Eyal Hulata, Israeli military attaché to the US Maj.-Gen. Hedy Silverman, US Deputy Chief of Mission in Israel Jonathan Shrier and other senior officials also attended the meeting.
