As part of President Isaac Herzog’s historic visit to the United Arab Emirates, and further to his productive meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President was invited for a follow-up personal meeting today at the Crown Prince’s private palace.

The previously unscheduled meeting was proposed by the Crown Prince at the end of his long and warm meeting with the President this morning. The Crown Prince’s gracious invitation is a statement of peace and partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Israel.

At the end of their meeting, President Herzog surprised Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed with special gift: the naming of a paediatric medicine conference at the Schneider Medical Center after the Abraham Accords. The conference will share the knowledge and experience of the medical teams at the Schneider Children’s Medical Center about children’s illnesses, health, culture, and their ability to confront their situations with optimism, learning, art, and humour.

Concurrently, First Lady Michal Herzog held a parallel meeting with Sheikha Alyazia bint Saif Al Nahyan, wife of UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
