Netanyahu charged that 'Bennett is leading the public astray, committing the fraud of the century'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday an imminent coalition government that would see him step down after 12 consecutive years in power would pose a "danger" to Israel's security.

Minutes after Yamina leader Naftali Bennett said he would join Yesh Atid chair Yair Lapid in forming a national unity government, Netanyahu lashed out in a televised address, calling the plan "a danger for the security of Israel" and saying that under the resulting government would be at the mercy of the far left. 

He rounded off the speech with a plea to his fellow right wingers, urging them to abstain from voting in the emerging government. Read more at i24
