Mahmoud al-Zahar says that Israel-Gaza ceasefire will hold for now
Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar in an interview with Britain's Sky News said that the ceasefire between Israel and the Gaza-based terrorist group that took effect early Friday after 11 days of fighting would hold.
"Nobody on both sides is looking for escalation more than what happened before so I believe that it will continue," he said.

Al-Zahar boasted that Hamas introduced "a new element" in the latest round of fighting by being able to hit areas of Israel with many civilians, referring to the barrages of rockets launched at Tel Aviv and the center of the country where most of the population resides.
The Hamas leader denied firing rockets from civilian areas of Gaza when pressed by Sky’s Middle East correspondent, Mark Stone.
Al-Zahar answered "no" when asked if the State of Israel had a right to exist. Read more at i24
