Bennett, Netanyahu hold new round of coalition talks, with negotiations teams agreeing to meet again

Israel's Likud party, chaired by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu' can count on Yamina's support in forming a right-wing government, the latter's chief Naftali Bennett said on Monday.

He also warned, however, that the party will do anything possible, including some creative options, to avoid a fifth round of elections.

Bennett asserted that securing the PM's seat was not at the top of his priorities, rejecting the recent media reports that he was hesitant to join Netanyahu's bloc due to the prospect of a possible rotation deal that would hand premiership to him. 

The remarks came at the weekly Yamina faction meeting at the Knesset (Israel Parliament), ahead of Bennett's meeting with Netanyahu for coalition talks. Read more at i24
