'The green passport is our way of encouraging more and more people to be vaccinated and rightly so'

Israel’s Health Minister Yuli Edelstein on Monday presented details of the "green passport" plan to the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee of the Knesset (Israel Parliament.) 

The green passport will be issued to all Israelis who have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine and will exempt the holder from having to quarantine after contact with a patient who tested positive, or after returning from abroad.

"The people of Israel are getting vaccinated! And this is the only way to beat the coronavirus," Edelstein exclaimed.

"The green passport is also our way of encouraging more and more people to be vaccinated and rightly so. Vaccinated people are not dangerous," he added. Read more at i24
