IDF Northern Command keeps 'elevated readiness,' won't tolerate 'violations of Israeli sovereignty,' army says

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) downed a drone operated by the Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group, the army said Tuesday.

In a statement, the military said that the unmanned aerial vehicle crossed into the Israeli airspace from Lebanese territory.

The IDF kept the drone under surveillance throughout the incident, with no danger to either the soldiers or nearby communities involved.

"The Northern Command maintains elevated readiness and will not tolerate any violation of Israeli sovereignty," the army said. Read more at i24
