Israeli vaccine could become available at an earlier date
A top official at US biotech firm Moderna said on Thursday that its much anticipated vaccine against the novel coronavirus is most likely to become available in Israel in the first half of 2021.
Last month, Moderna became the first medical company to publish blueprints of their coronavirus vaccine studies, helped by a US federal grant to the tune of $2.5 billion.

Israel inked a contract with Moderna to purchase its vaccine candidate in June.
Dr Tal Zaks, an Israeli national and Chief Medical Officer at the Massachusetts-based company, told the Hebrew-language Ynet news site that, “We are yet to have a precise timetable. It will certainly be available in the first half of 2021. But anything more precise than that, we can’t yet say."
Earlier this week Moderna said its vaccine could be given approval for emergency use in the US as early as December. Read more at i24
