Test positive ratio figure plummets to 2.8% as morbidity's downward trend continues

Israel registered only 395 coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, its lowest figure in months, new data released by the Health Ministry on Sunday showed.

The country’s infections count rose to 302,911 since the outbreak of the pandemic as cases continued to rapidly decline.

The number of COVID-19 patients in serious condition fell as well, from 850 last week to 673 on Sunday morning. Of the 33,484 active cases, 240 individuals were registered on artificial respirators, 206 in moderate condition and 28,935 having mild symptoms or no symptoms.

Israel's death toll climbed to 2,202, adding four more deaths since midnight.

In total, 14,960 screening tests were conducted on Saturday, the test positive ratio plummeting to 2.8 percent -- another sharp decrease in contrast to last week’s recorded seven percent and higher. Read more at i24
