With almost 50,000 tests made over the past 24 hours, the positive test ratio stood at 8 percent, the lowest level in a month, down from 8.9 the previous day, continuing its decline.
The death toll in the country rose to 1,879, with 15 new fatalities registered since the Thursday evening update.
