'I think the normalization of relations among countries is... in almost every instance, a good thing'

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said on Friday that he welcomes countries in the Middle East striking peace agreements with Israel, even if it means Palestinians losing "leverage" in their negotiations for a two-state solution.

Biden made the comments on the heels of a surprise announcement that Kosovo will officially recognize Israel, and Serbia will move its diplomatic mission to Jerusalem, US President Donald Trump said Friday.

“Part of that deal is Kosovo and Israel having diplomatic normalization. You have stated that you support a two-state solution in the Middle East. Would you support more Muslim majority countries normalizing relations with Israel even though it may mean that the Palestinians will lose leverage in their fight toward a two-state solution?," one reporter asked Biden as he was taking questions on the campaign trail. 

“Well, first of all, I’m not — I don’t know what the deal is you’re referring to,” Biden replied.
