No injuries reported to Israeli troops after combined air-ground assault neutralizes terrorists
The Israeli army foiled four terrorists trying to place a bomb on the Israel-Syria border, according to a statement early Monday morning.
"A short while ago, IDF [Israel Defense Forces] troops thwarted an attempt to place improvised explosive devices (IEDs) near the Alpha Line between Syria and Israel," the IDF spokesperson's unit said.
Soldiers of the Maglan special forces, according to Ynet, had taken up clandestine positions along the border when notified of the approaching squad.
"IDF troops on the southern Golan Heights, adjacent to an IDF post, spotted a terrorist squad placing explosive devices adjacent to the security fence," the IDF said. Read more at i24
