Baltimore, MD – June 8, 2020 - Thanks to the persistent efforts of Second District Councilman Israel "Izzy" Patoka, Baltimore County residents who are 60+ and keep kosher can now also benefit from the Baltimore County-funded food program that provides food security to families during the COVID-19 crisis. Special thanks to Elisabeth A. Sachs of Baltimore County Government for her invaluable assistance.

So far, two kosher food distributions have taken place. The first week, 100 packages were given out; the second week, 220 packages were distributed. The packages - consisting of chicken, ground beef, vegetables, and grape juice – until now, have been delivered to residents, to accommodate the many people over 60 who are homebound.

This program will hopefully continue as long as funding permits.
