Jerusalem, Israel - Dec. 24, 2019 - On the second night of Chanukah, כ''ו כסלו thousands of people were out on the streets of Yerushalayim, in and around the Old City. Chanukah menorahs were lit in restaurants and could be seen in shop windows, besides the flames seen burning from inside and outside of residences.

One of the large public Chanukah lights for the past 7 years has been at the entrance to Mamilla Mall. Chabad Talbiya has begun a tradition of lighting the large Chanukiah by a different guest of honor followed by a different musical performance each of the eight nights.

On Tuesday night Itzik Dadya sang to an enthusiastic audience of hundreds. Popular singer Dadya, from a religious family in Netivot, made news when he joined the IDF six years ago. The second light at Mamilla celebrated people with special needs. As dozens of boxes of free sufganiyot (donuts) were passed around the singing and music continued.

From December 24-26, 2019, special workshops for Chanukah creative arts, live music, and street shows, videos on the Old City Walls, a Chazanut show in Zedekiah's Cave, and more tours and activities are planned for the public free of charge.
