Additional cities are likely to join the Shabbos public transport program in Tel Aviv in the near future, according to a Hebrew media report by Kan 11 News Sunday evening.

The report said the second wave of cities expected to join the project are Hod Hasharon, Herzliya, Rishon Lezion, Bat Yam and Kfar Saba.

This past Friday, the program in Tel Aviv opened up with a bang as hundreds made use of the mini-buses coursing along six routes across Israel’s coastline, covering some 500 stations and equaling some 300 kilometers in length, connecting Tel Aviv and its suburbs of Ramat Gan, Ramat Hasharon, Givatayim, Holon and Kiryat Ono.
