Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 2, 2019 - For Good Deeds Day, April 2, 2019, in Jerusalem, Israel multiple events were held in cooperation with the Jerusalem Municipality. Tens of thousands of people participated with at total of 350 volunteer projects in various locations. 

In Heichel Shlomo lobby, a photo exhibition is posted for the public to see images of volunteers doing volunteer work in the city. It salutes all the volunteers who are doing chesed throughout the year. A QR code is on each display to encourage visitors to check out the organizations and get involved. 

Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion, attended the opening of the photography exhibit and told the seated guests,  "Good Deeds Day in Jerusalem highlights this year's theme to make a community together that connects the social character of the city. The Jerusalem Municipality is proud to be the leading city in the country, with a large volunteer community, joining hundreds and thousands of people working together, and this number is growing from year to year. "  

"Good Deeds Day" is a nationwide project that encourages giving and doing for the community and society, to promote the spirit of volunteerism and mutual responsibility. The project was initiated by Shari Arison, who began the annual event with the "good spirit" of the Arison Group. in recent years Good Deeds Day has expanded to 50 additional countries. The Jerusalem municipality thanked the tens of thousands of volunteers who took part in a day of good deeds.
