A man stabbed in Jerusalem's Hadar Mall in Talpiyot is in moderate condition.

The stabber has been neutralized.

It is not yet clear if the incident was criminal or a terror attack.

A statement from Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed that the organization had "received a report of a man who was stabbed near the entrance to the Hadar Shopping Mall on General Pierre Koenig St in Jerusalem."

"MDA EMTs and Paramedics are treating a 30-year-old in moderate condition suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. The attacker was neutralized by security forces."

An Israel Police spokesman confirmed that the stabber was neutralized by a police officer, and that the victim is being transferred to a hospital.

Initial investigations lead police to believe that the event was criminal, not terrorist, and that the stabber is a known criminal. However, the possibility of terror has not yet been ruled out.

The investigation is ongoing.
