Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 15, 2018 - An event "Celebrating the Women of the First 25 Years of Stern College for Women:1958-1983" was held on the Yeshiva University Israel Campus on Sunday evening, Rosh Chodesh, while a joint event was held in New York City at noon.

Former Baltimore Rebbitzen Ilana Gottlieb, who is presently Director of Midreshet AMIT, gave the opening shiur in Jerusalem, Israel. Her topic was "Why Can't We All Just Get Along? Lessons Learned from the Mistake of Rabbi Akiva's Students."  Using multiple texts and sources on the importance of Adam l'Chavaro, as well as performing mitzvot carefully in detail. 

President of Yeshiva University Rabbi Ari Berman spoke from New York City, while his mother Rosalie Berman was in attendance in Jerusalem. Also Rebbitzen Ethel Orlian, on staff at Stern for many decades, was in Jerusalem. 

Israel greetings were given by Leah Becker Wolf, a former President of Stern Student Council, and a volunteer who was active in locating former students now living and visiting in Israel to attend the dinner.
