Jerusalem, Israel - Apr. 2, 2018 - Yerushalayim Sacher Park is a traditional gathering place for families to celebrate on holidays, especially on Chol Hamoed Pesach. On Sunday, ט''ז ניסן, the first day of Chol Hamoed in Israel, hundreds of families were in the park.

Smoke circled high from meat cooking on grills. Multiple minyanim were organized during the afternoon. Children played and laughed. People ate and talked and met up with long time friends and family, some visiting from locations around the world.

Music blasted from some of the family parties. Tables, chairs and tons of food and drink were schelped from cars parked in Nahlaot and other locations. New barriers have made parking more difficult, except for handicap spots. However, in spite of the inconvenience, there were plenty of smiles and reunions by family members of all ages, from seniors on walkers to babies in carriages.
