President’s Trump son-in-law and top aide Jared Kushner reportedly met with Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto after the head of state had a tense exchange with Trump over the phone.

Kushner, who did not bring the US ambassador to the country with him, met with Peña Nieto after a sit down with Trump was canceled, according to the New York Times.

The cancellation, the second fallout since Trump was elected, came after a dispute about the proposed wall along the US border.
