Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is amplifying her calls for the House begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump.

While Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other congressional leaders have tried to tamp down impeachment talk, Ocasio-Cortez and other voices on the left have been growing impatient as the White House increasingly rejects congressional oversight efforts.

“We have to move forward,” Ocasio-Cortez told CNN on Tuesday. “I trust the Speaker’s taking a measured approach to ensure that we’re moving everyone forward.”

“Being a Speaker is hard, and holding this party together is a difficult task,” she added, “but I think we have to move forward.”
