Baltimore, MD - Nov. 9, 2016 - This Shabbos – Parshas Lech Lecha, November 11-12 – is the date for the annual Shabbos Project.  This beautiful undertaking has provided a meaningful moment of unity for the Jewish People.  It is an opportunity to encourage those who do not regularly observe Shabbos to do so in their own homes, or to invite them to join you in yours.

For those of us who are privileged to observe Shabbos weekly, this Shabbos is a wonderful opportunity to treat this Shabbos as if it was our first; to experience Shabbos with a fresh set of eyes, appreciating the Matana Tova, the special gift from Above, that Shabbos is.

This year, we will be enhancing this Shabbos for our community by a special community-wide Shalosh Seudos.  Fourteen area shuls have signed on to participate in what promises to be an enjoyable, inspiring and unifying event.  The Shalosh Seudos will be held at Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion at 4:25 pm (following Mincha at 4:00), and will feature Divrei Torah from Rabbi Yaakov Hopfer and Rabbi Shmuel Silber, and Zemiros led by Rabbi Menachem Goldberger.  Following Maariv, there will be a special Havdalah and dancing, led by Nossi Gross and friends.

Please join in this special community event!
