Baltimore, MD - Mar. 18, 2024  -  Drivers can expect some changes starting Monday on the Beltway.

The Maryland State Highway Administration is about to start the next phase of its work along Interstate 695 between the White Marsh Boulevard exit and the Lillian Holt Drive overpass.

Significant off-peak delays are expected during this work period, the SHA said. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the Beltway in this area between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights.

“We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work hard to reduce congestion and improve safety along one of the busiest corridors in the state,” SHA Administrator William Pines said in a statement. “Drivers should plan extra commute time and consider alternate routes during active lane closures.”...
